From the 401 to Spartanburg
Hi! We’re the Clapprood Family — Rhode Island natives with a big love for tradition and big flavor. Stripp. is a family-run business co-founded by a mother & son team that celebrates where we came from and shares it with our new community here in the south.
Stripp. was born from a craving — not just for sauce-covered bakery pizza, but for the traditions that make food feel like home. After relocating to South Carolina, we would be asked what we missed the most from home--and these were top of our list. We already knew that we wouldn't be able to find a single place that makes Rhode Island–style strips unless we are in the Ocean State.
Josh recently graduated from the Culinary Arts program at Cranston Area Career & Technical Center, where he spent four years learning everything from kitchen safety to classic techniques. His hands-on training and certifications gave him the skills—and us the confidence—to bring our favorite recipes to life. Backed by what he learned in school and inspired by the flavors we grew up with in Rhode Island, we rolled up our sleeves and decided to start baking and are proud to share a little taste of home with you.
We want to bring a whole vibe. One that feels nostalgic and a little rebellious. One where sauce always comes first, and traditions are baked in.
